Kevin L. Opp was born in Wheat Ridge, Colorado on January 20, 1974. He is an associate with Netzorg McKeever Koclanes & Bernhardt LLC. His practice areas are civil and commercial litigation.
Kevin received his B.A. from the University of Denver in 1998 where he graduated with honors and was recognized as the most outstanding undergraduate student in economics. He received his law degree from the University of Colorado in 2005 and was Articles Editor for the University of Colorado Law Review. He is the author of Ending Pay-to-Play in the Municipal Securities Business: MSRB Rule G-37 Ten Years Later, 76 U. Colo. L. Rev. 243 (2005). It received the Courtland H. Peterson Writing Award for best student-written article published in the University of Colorado Law Review, and it took second place in a national writing competition for student-authored articles in the field of securities law. While in law school, he interned for U.S. District Judge Marcia S. Krieger.
Before law school, Kevin was the research director for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and was a financial analyst for a forensics accounting firm.
